Andrew's "Wedding Style" Highlight Reel - *Sarah's Hi-Jack*
Monday, May 24, 2010 at 7:57PM Potential wedding clients coming to meet Andrew for the first time quite often ask him to define his "style" of photography. Andrew always has trouble defining his style. I hear him say terms like unobtrusive, relaxed, journalistic, personal & fun.....and then he ends it with "have you had a chance to view my work on my blogsite?" Viewing Andrew's images does give you a good sense of his style and the type of images he captures outside the family formal and more posed shots, which he obviously also captures. Having a blogsite as our only website presence also means that you get to see all his latest work. On some other photographer websites you may only get to view a select few portfolio shots, showing only glamourous brides that may have be taken years ago.
For a presentation Andrew had to give last week I put together a slideshow of some of his images for him to show. I thought I might upload it here for couples who might be looking at Andrew for their wedding photographer or anyone else who is interested:)
I have to stress that they are some of MY favourite shots from the last year or so and the ones I think really define what Andrew captures as a wedding photographer. Some pre-wedding engagement images are thrown in for good measure.
In all honesty Andrew cringed at a few I had chosen (only because they may not be technically perfect or processed completely) but like I said, these are MY favourites collated to paint a picture......not to impress judges or other photographers. And lucky the song only goes for 4 minutes or I would have kept going! All images are taken by Andrew, none are mine (just because I didn't want to show him up....ha ha). But that's got me thinking, maybe one day I'll do a post showcasing my images:)
